At the invitation of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the delegation of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the Future Minerals Forum held in Riyadh on January 13-15, 2026.

The event was attended by Advisor to the Minister B. Normatov, as well as responsible employees of the central apparatus of the Ministry and organizations within the Ministry, including the University of Geological Sciences, “Uzbek Geological Exploration” Joint-Stock Company, “Uzbek Overseas Geology Company” LLC, “Center for Subsoil Use” SE and other relevant entities.

Within the framework of the Forum, issues of sustainable and responsible development of the mineral-raw materials sector, ensuring global chains of supply of mineral resources, as well as expanding international cooperation in the field of geology and mining industry were discussed.

Also at the event, a meeting was held with the Society of Exploration Geophysicists and an agreement on cooperation was signed.

Furthermore, within the framework of the forum, it was officially announced that the international event “GEOMIN – 2026” will be held in Tashkent from September 14 to 18.
