The Chief Geologist of the Scientific and production center “Geology of Uranium and Rare Metals” of the Navoiyuran State Enterprise Kh. Olovov and the General Director of the “Uzbek Overseas Geology Company” Kh. Omonov held another meeting with representatives of the “Mon-Atom Company” of Mongolia.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the development of mutually beneficial cooperation and the organization of exploration work on uranium, which is a strategic raw material. In particular, the procedure for obtaining appropriate permits for carrying out more than 15,000 meters of measuring drilling, as well as large-scale geological, geophysical and laboratory studies and exploration work developed by specialists of SE “Navoiuran” and “Uzbek Overseas Geology Company” on six promising areas proposed by representatives of the “Mon-Atom company” was considered.
During the meeting, representatives of the “Mon-Atom company” got acquainted in detail with the information on the volume of measuring drilling operations carried out at these sites and highly appreciated their prospects. At the same time, it was noted that joint activities in the field of geology will further strengthen economic, scientific and technical cooperation between the two countries. In accordance with future plans, it is planned to establish geological exploration work at the fields.

It is expected that this cooperation will not only identify a number of new mineral reserves, but also bring the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Mongolia in the field of natural resources to a new level.
