Uzbekistan and Afghanistan have launched strategic cooperation in the field of geology!

A new agreement has been signed between the Ministry of Geology and Mining of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Mining and Oil of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. Within the framework of the agreement

🔹 Exploration and geological exploration of hydrocarbons will be carried out in the Muhammad-Jandagar, Shamar and Ahmadabad blocks located in Afghanistan;
🔹 The right to extract will be given as a priority to the Operating Company established by the Uzbek side;
🔹 Geophysical surveys, reports and preparation of feasibility studies will be entrusted to Uzbek specialists;
🔹 The Afghan side guarantees the granting of exclusive rights to projects and the provision of necessary permits;

📚 Bilateral capacity-building programs, exchange of specialists and internships are also envisaged. All data confidentiality and information exchange will be ensured in accordance with international standards.

This agreement will not only strengthen friendly relations between the two countries, but also open a new era in the study of natural resources in the region! The agreement has an exclusive term of 2 years, and in the next stage, cooperation will be further expanded based on international experience.
